ShopLedger – Privacy Policy

ShopLedger ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile bookkeeping application developed by Baceflip. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ShopLedger app.

We collect the following information when you create an account and use ShopLedger:

Account information: Full name, email address, phone number, and business name.
Business data: Sales records, expense entries, debtor information (names, phone numbers, amounts owed), and uploaded files (receipts, documents).
Device information: App version and platform type for support purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the ShopLedger service.
To authenticate you and secure your account.
To display your business dashboard, reports, and records.
To send debt reminders via WhatsApp (only when you explicitly choose to do so — we do not send messages automatically).

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on our servers. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission. Access to your data is protected by your password and authentication token. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

WhatsApp: When you send a debt reminder, ShopLedger opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message on your device. No data is transmitted to us in this process.
Exchange Rate API: We fetch live currency exchange rates from open.er-api.com. No personal data is shared with this service.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

ShopLedger is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
